      No, they are single celled so they can’t get sick really they either are living or dying and thats it

      No, they don’t. Immune system is a characteristic from more developed organisms. The first immune system appeared in fishes. Cheers!

      Being a bacteria person I feel the need to defend them a bit! 🙂 true, comples immune systems are reserve of higher, multicellular organisms. However, that isn’t to say that bacteria aren’t able to defend themselves from killing using evasive down right genius tactics! Bacteria can Wriggle away from phagocytise cells, they can form Biofilms that are dense and antibiotic resistance, they can produce anti microbial compounds to kill off other bacteria or fungus, they can even put their metabolises to sleep and enter a “persistent” state that means drugs can’t kill them. They are complex survivors in the game of life, even without an immune system! 🙂
