      Hi ElPivi,

I loved studying bacteria in the sea. I did not specifically identify a new species of bacteria, but I wasn’t necessarily trying to at the time! I was studying ‘microbial communities’ which are made of zillions of different types of bacteria (probably some we don’t know what they are!). I was studying these communities of bacteria that could live in sediment and water with NO oxygen. Amazing, right!? They can use alternative electron acceptors to produce energy and live.
      Cheers!
      Carmen
