      Yes they did. I was the first person in my family to go to university so they don’t exactly understand why I want to keep studying and learning new things but they support me anyway!

      Yes, my family always wanted me to go to medical school so at University when I chose graduate school instead it was a bit controversial but still accepted and supported. Moving to another country for school was more controversial! 🙂

      Yes they did. Like Stephanie I was also the first person in my family to go to University.

      My family always wanted me to be an engineer. But when I chose Biotechnology instead, even if they were not very sure what that meant, they still supported me. They were the ones encouraging me to keep going. When I decided to move to another country to continue with my PhD they were really supportive and I think they are proud of me. Cheers! 🙂
