Question: Do you have any other research at the moment, apart from the transplantation of organs?

Most of my work is transplant related.
However, I also work with another person at Sunderland on a disease called cystinosis which is quite a nasty disease where people can’t use the amino acid cysteine correctly and die quite early. We are trying to understand how the disease works better to enable the design of better treatments

It sounds as it is very interesting. Do you know which are the first symptoms of the disease and which could be the immediate recommendations of a doctor?
