      The evidence is very limited to support this. Obviously you need to have enough vitamin C in your diet so as long as you eat well you should. Taking excess vitamin C some people believe help but the evidence is poor and actually in some studies it made people with serious diseases worse.

      Vitamin C is an essential vitamin, but it doesn’t need to be present in excess. Lots of micronutrients and cofactors are essential to get from our diets but are only micro levels essential.
