Either cuts in your skin or in the stomach. If you get an injury that gets infected that is because bacteria has managed to get in but the stomach already has loads and loads of bacteria (more than 1000000!) and sometimes as in the disease I work on (Crohn’s disease, if you’re interested). The body starts attacking this bacteria that doesn’t usually cause us any harm and this makes people sick. Nobody knows if some people are genetically programmed to get this condition or if it just happens!

Cuts, mucosal membranes (nose, mouth, throat) mainly. Anyways they can easily breach the skin defence and enter into our nice warm bodies!
