I really enjoy where I work. I work in an office with three other colleagues with whom I have a great relationship. We can bounce ideas off each other which is great- and moan together when things are going wrong!!! So it is really quite a supportive environment.

      Hi Deoxyribonucleus,

Still loving your screen name. I wouldn’t work where I do without the fantastic people that make it FUN. Work is interesting but I could study vaccinology/medical microbiology anywhere in the world pretty much. What makes my work special to me is the multi-cultural work force and the fantastic folks I share my days with. If you calculate it, you spend more time every day with your co-workers than you do your loved one, so it is very important to be happy where you work. Building a good support or community at work is essential I think for feeling confident, happy, and being those things will make you work all that much better.
      Cheers,
      Carmen

I love where I work. The people in the office and in the lab are great and always willing to help. Even if lab work is quite a solitary work you never feel lonely in here and that makes you enjoy science even more. Collaboration among scientists is really important.
