When we are sick our bodies break down proteins from bacteria or other foreign pathogens into something called pyrogens and these can interfere with the bodies thermostat and make us unable to regulate temperature properly but I can’t tell you why as I have no idea!!

      Sorry!

Hi! Fever caused by inflammation is also our bodies way of ‘overheating’ in an attempt to kill of the bacteria, that are usually fighting us with proteins that might denature if we go beyond our usual 37C body temp.
