• Question: What would you name a new disease that had been discovered?

      I would probably name it something easy and intuitive! Some diseases are just so complicated! and they never give any information of what kind of disease it is just with the name! Cheers Ellz!

      Oooh that is an interesting question!!! It would depend where it affected I suppose but I really have no idea!

      If I discovered a new element I would call it “carmeninium” after myself! If I discovered a new disease I would either name it after one of the major people who had spent a long time trying to identify it (out of honor for their hard work, like Burkholderia is named after Alfred Burkholder), or I would name it after the location I discovered the disease, like Ebola, which is named after a river in the democratic Republic of Congo where one of the firt outbreaks was ever recorded.
