• Question: When a part of the body hurts, does it always mean that white blood cells are being produced?

      Not always. you could have exercised a lot and your muscles have gone into anaerobic respiration (without oxygen) and they build up lactic acid and that can cause pain.

      However inflammation often causes fluid to flood into the site of inflammation and white cells also move in and they will grow and divide during an inflammatory repsonse.
