• Question: Why can you never get Chicken Pox more than once?

      Most people don’t because after you have had one infection your immune system as developed antibodies that stick to the virus next time it gets in the body. The antibodies tell cells to then destroy the virus so it can’t infect the person.

      However, some people don’t always make the antibodies are not that well and they are more susceptible to reinfection and can get it again

      Also, we have a great vaccine for chickenpox now! So no one needs to suffer through those itchy spots anymore 🙂
